This Information Notice has been prepared in accordance with Article 10 of the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”) in order to inform you about the processing of your personal data.
For What Purposes Do We Process Your Personal Data?
Articles 5 and 6 of the Law regulate the conditions under which personal data and special categories of personal data may be processed.
Non-sensitive personal data may be processed under the following legal grounds:
- Explicit consent of the data subject
- Processing explicitly prescribed by law
- Processing being mandatory to protect life or physical integrity where consent cannot be obtained
- Processing being directly related to the establishment or performance of a contract
- Processing being mandatory for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligations
- Data being made public by the data subject
- Processing being mandatory for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right
- Processing being mandatory for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed
Special categories of personal data (such as race, ethnicity, political opinion, religion, health, biometric and genetic data, etc.) are processed only under the conditions set out in Article 6 of the Law.
Legal Grounds for Processing
Personal data may be processed based on the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a Contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c):
Terminal Kadıköy does not accept reservations via its website. Reservation processes carried out by phone, post-reservation support services, and related communications may involve processing identity, contact, and customer transaction data. - Legal Obligation (KVKK Art. 5/2-a, ç):
Compliance with legal obligations, retention requirements, official correspondence, and responses to data subject requests. - Establishment or Protection of a Right (KVKK Art. 5/2-e):
Handling requests and complaints and retaining records for legal limitation periods. - Legitimate Interest (KVKK Art. 5/2-f):
Conducting commercial activities, ensuring website and information security, managing customer relations, marketing activities, corporate communication, risk management, and improving service quality. - Explicit Consent (KVKK Art. 5/1):
Marketing communications, personalized advertising, campaigns, promotions, and sharing data with group companies, suppliers, and business partners.

Methods of Collection and Storage
Personal data may be collected through websites, social media platforms, marketing activities, security cameras, call center records, and physical or electronic forms.
Data is stored securely in electronic and physical environments and retained only for the legally required periods.
Sharing of Personal Data
Personal data may be shared, in accordance with the Law, with:
- The Company’s parent and group companies
- Business partners and suppliers
- Authorized public institutions and legally authorized private entities
No personal data is transferred abroad.
Your Rights Under KVKK
Pursuant to Article 11 of the Law, you have the right to:
- Learn whether your personal data is processed
- Request information if it has been processed
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly
- Know the third parties to whom data is transferred
- Request correction or deletion of incomplete or incorrect data
- Object to results arising from automated processing
- Request compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing

Requests must include identity and contact information. Requests made by unauthorized third parties will not be processed.
